These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VectisCode open-source CLI software, documentation, and static website (collectively, the "Software").


1. Open Source License

The VectisCode CLI software is licensed under the MIT License. You may inspect, modify, and distribute the Software subject to the terms and copyright notices set forth in the LICENSE file in the repository.


2. Local Operation & User Responsibility

VectisCode is a developer tool that runs locally on your machine and communicates with your local Roblox Studio installation.

  • Reviewing Changes: You are responsible for reviewing all file modifications, script edits, and Studio actions proposed or applied by VectisCode.
  • Backups: While VectisCode maintains local turn checkpoints and receipts, you are encouraged to maintain standard version control (such as Git) for your Roblox projects.
  • API Keys & Costs: Any fees or usage limits associated with third-party AI provider API keys (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) you supply to VectisCode are solely your responsibility.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
